With more than 20 years experience in Human Resource Management I originally set up Thomson Associates in January 1997 to provide high quality training and consultancy services to a range of public and private sector organisations. Whilst I still provide this service, in the last six years, my focus has moved more towards the provision of mental health and wellbeing consultancy and training for organisations and individuals.
For those who are interested in my qualifications I have an Honours Degree in Psychology; I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; a member of the British Psychological Society and a member of the Institute of Counselling. More important than my qualifications, however, is my passion for making a positive difference to the lives of individuals and organisations.
I provide most of the services myself but I also have a small group of highly professional associates who I can call upon to support me in delivering larger projects.
My approach to personal and organisational development is based on working in partnership with clients to find development solutions that are practical, cost effective and sustainable. To do this I will invest time and effort to understand your needs and to tailor the support I provide to your requirements. My philosophy is summed up in the following statement:
